Dialogo

DUO WITH THIERRY ESCAICH, ORGAN, PIANO

It's music's special place to move into the heart.

Johann Sebastian Bach

A tribute to the greatest composer of all time

Dialogue… A two-part program highlighting the legacy of J.S. Bach over the centuries right up to our times. A dialogue between two strong personalities: Thierry Escaich, organist, improvisor and composer, and Christian-Pierre La Marca, cellist. A dialogue, too, between styles, genres, forms and periods. Although some composers refer to Bach by simply borrowing a chorale theme or the letters of Bach’s name (for the initial improvisation), others start from one of the Kantor’s own works or adapt his writing technique to the aesthetics of their time… An unprecedented journey through time.
