Transcribed French melodies for cello and piano

First album by the excellent cellist Christian-Pierre La Marca on Sony Classical, “L’Heure exquise” is a rare and exciting musical adventure in which the cello plays the diva and takes the place of the voice. A personal selection of melodies from the last century to the present day. It features well-known and lesser-known French composers from the Belle Époque and Romanticism, as well as songs from old Paris and contemporary creation.

In the press

This "exquisite hour" offers a selection of French melodies, mostly from the 20th century, with the cello in place of the voice. O ma belle rebelle, by Charles Gounod, who opens this program, shows that Christian-Pierre La Marca has the sound needed to concoct a real main course.
